Exterior Glass Protection
Helps protect the panoramic roof against light scratches, stone chips and everyday damage to the exterior surface.
Protect your vehicle's panoramic glass roof or sunroof with premium PROTEKK Sunroof PPF. The transparent protection film is designed for the exterior glass surface and combines physical protection with 99% UV rejection and high IR rejection.
Sunroof PPF is a transparent protection film applied to the exterior surface of the vehicle's glass roof. While conventional window tint is primarily selected for solar control, light transmission or appearance, Sunroof PPF is designed with protection of the exterior glass surface as a key purpose.
Panoramic roofs create a large horizontal glass surface that is exposed to dirt, light surface scratches, road debris and other everyday wear while driving. The film adds a protective layer between these external influences and the original glass. It does not make the glass unbreakable.
Helps protect the panoramic roof against light scratches, stone chips and everyday damage to the exterior surface.
Both versions provide 99% UV rejection. The 7.5mil version provides 95% IR rejection and the 10mil version provides 98%.
With 75% VLT, a high level of visible light is retained while adding an additional protective layer to the glass roof.
PROTEKK Sunroof PPF combines a transparent protective layer with controlled visible light transmission and high UV and IR rejection. This means the film is designed not only around comfort, but also around protection of the exterior glass surface.
Both versions are designed for glass sunroofs and panoramic roofs. They share the same 75% VLT and 99% UV rejection, while differing in film thickness and IR rejection.
The 7.5mil version combines a transparent protective layer with high UV and IR rejection for sunroofs and panoramic roofs.
The 10mil version uses a thicker film construction and increases IR rejection to 98%, while retaining the same VLT and UV rejection.
The technical values above are based on the product specifications for the respective PROTEKK Sunroof film. IR rejection should not be interpreted as total solar heat rejection.
Both products can influence light transmission and solar performance, but their primary purpose is different. Conventional tint film is mainly chosen for light transmission, solar control, privacy or appearance. Sunroof PPF additionally creates a protective layer over the exterior surface of the glass roof.
Designed around protection of the exterior glass surface while also providing specified optical and solar-control properties.
Conventional automotive window film is typically chosen for solar control, visible light transmission, privacy or a darker appearance.
Panoramic roofs often consist of large and slightly curved glass surfaces. Correct preparation, positioning and finishing are therefore important for a clean result and consistent film adhesion.
